2023 Honda Pilot

Honda's next-generation, three-row Pilot SUV hits showrooms with loads of improvements for the new model year. Trim Levels (Exterior)

Honda released the 2023 Pilot in five trims, including the Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Elite, complete with updated styling. The new Pilot touts a fresh, rugged look from grille to tailgate. It wears a boxier outer shell with dynamic body lines from every angle. In addition, this updated SUV features a newly designed front fascia with LED headlights and a hexagon mesh grille, while 20-inch wheels give it a confident look from the ground up. Around the back, you'll notice the new LED taillights that complement Honda's stunning overall design.

Engine (Power)

Every trim in the 2023 Honda Pilot's lineup features a robust 3.5-liter V-6 under the hood that's good for 285 horsepower. This figure represents a slight increase over last year's engine output, and you'll notice the difference in its confident acceleration. The beefier new engine mates with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This represents another welcome improvement the automaker added for the new model year. It replaces the outgoing nine-speed gearbox and delivers 262 pound-feet of torque.

Performance

Escape the asphalt in your new 2023 Pilot. You'll find your next adventure where the pavement ends in the specially designed, all-new Pilot TrailSport. This fully equipped SUV's uncompromising capability comes from its improved all-wheel drive system, a 1-inch lift, and Trail driving mode. You'll also appreciate equipment like steel skid plates, a hill-descent control system, and trim-specific 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

Interior

The new Pilot's spacious, fully loaded cabin offers room for seven or eight passengers, depending on configuration and trim. The EX-L model comes with leather seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a power tailgate. If you want to add a bit of luxury to your commute, check out the upscale Elite model. It comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, a head-up display, and a 12-speaker stereo system.

One of our favorite Honda accessories has to be the stowable second-row center seat. It provides an innovative solution for additional passenger room whenever you need it. You'll also love its available 113.7 cubic feet of cargo space. That's plenty for all your packs, tents, and coolers. There's even a large storage compartment hidden under the floor. In addition, Honda's stock infotainment system is one of the best on the market. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is matched with a standard 7-inch digital gauge cluster.
